The busiest chef on the planet, Senior Policy Advisor for Healthy Food Initiatives Sam Kass talks about his job at the White House in a new video for AOL's "You've Got..." series.

"Cooking here in the White House is the greatest honor and privilege any chef could have," Kass says, as he describes his duo-toqued role of cooking for the First Family and advising First Lady Michelle Obama on food policy.

"It's been just the greatest honor to serve this family and work with the First Lady on all of her great initiatives."

Kass worked for the Obamas while Mr. Obama was a Senator in Chicago, and he notes that even then, Mrs. Obama had "a vision" for working on child health, and wanted to plant a vegetable garden at the White House. The meals he makes for the First Family are sourced from Mrs. Obama's Kitchen Garden, Kass reminds, and says they are "nothing fancy" thanks to the fact that kids are involved.

"We keep it really simple and delicious."

The biggest misconception about the White House?

"That we have a huge kitchen..that it goes on and on for days."

Not true, Kass says. "It's a historic building...and the kitchen is not very big."

As the video ends, Kass urges viewers to visit LetsMove.gov to learn more about Mrs. Obama's childhood obesity campaign. He will have his policy toque firmly on his head as he discusses it on Monday, May 7, when he gives the keynote address at CDC's Weight of the Nation Conference. CLICK HERE for all posts about Kass.
