Reference has been getting a lot of questions about the new version of Microsoft Windows. Windows 8 is very different than the previous versions of Windows and so far has received decidedly mixed reviews. Here are a couple of tips:
1. If you are not purchasing a touch screen computer, you may not want to buy Windows 8. The operating system is designed for use with touch screen PCs and can be more difficult to use if you do not have a touch screen.
2. If you have a computer that is more than 1 year old, DO NOT upgrade to Windows 8 without first checking with the manufacturer of your PC. Many older computers will not properly support Windows 8.
