Obama for America has made a big push for the sixth and final 'Dinner with Barack' contest this week, sending an email each day asking for $5 entries, including from President Obama and First Lady Obama. The deadline is Sept. 25, and Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday sent his own dinner missive to supporters. Like Mrs. Obama, Biden hailed the contest series as a beloved "tradition.""Before this tradition is over I think you should give it a shot," Biden wrote. "It's time for you to take your seat at the table."
Biden has missed out on the tradition; he was added to one of the earliest 'Dinner with Barack' contests in this election cycle, but did not attend the winners' dinner with the President, thanks to an overseas trip.
Three winners will be selected; each will be allowed to bring a guest. The prize includes coach-class airfare and a one-night hotel stay, with the approximate retail value of $1,600. It's taxable to the winners, who must also pass background checks and agree to be used in campaign promotions throughout all eternity. Donations are not tax deductible.
There's an alternate "free" entry page for the dinner contest that's required by law. But all of the winners who dined with the President at the five previous contest meals and the four celeb-guest dinners with Michael Jordan, George Clooney, Sarah Jessica Parker, and former President Bill Clinton made donations.

The subject heading of Biden's email was "Look."
